The Declaration of '83



For thousands of years, humans have sought happiness on earth. Now, in 2083, that search has lead us beyond the earth. We, the citizens of Mars colony cluster Bliss hereby wish to declare our independence from the United States of America and from the rest of the world as well. We wish to sever all ties with the earth, and thus the past. Our colonies are now completely self-sustaining in their design, and in the lifestyle their residents lead. It is our sincere hope that this be a peaceful transition. We will welcome anyone from Earth who meets our criteria, but they will not be allowed to visit Earth and then come back to Bliss.
